Custom donation amounts
When donors hold their phone up to a custom donation device terminal, they will be directed to your online fundraising page.
You have the ability to select the donation amounts available for donors to choose from.
The donor also has the option to enter their custom donation amount here.
Frictionless in-person giving
What you see is what you give with our fixed denomination amounts. Simply tap the device terminal with your contactless credit or debit card or use your mobile wallet to give. It’s that easy!
Transaction confirmation
SMS notifications are available for fixed-denomiation device terminals, allowing merchants to confirm successful donations via a text message on their mobile phone when a donor taps to give.
Email transaction confirmation is available for custom donation device terminals, enabling donors to verify their online donations through a confirmation email.
Merchant onboarding process
When customers make donations online or in-person using your tiptap solution, the transaction is processed by a payment processor who directs the funds into your merchant bank account.
A tiptap-specific merchant account is required whether or not you have an existing merchant account or not. This is needed to create a secure connection between your tiptap solution and your bank account.
In the US, we offer tiptap merchant processing, and in Canada, our preferred payment processing partner is Moneris.
We also integrate with Global Payments in Canada, and Elavon in the US. Should you have a relationship with either Global Payments or Elavon, we can discuss a custom merchant processor setup with you.

Cellular connectivity
tiptap device terminals connect directly to the cellular network. No Wi-Fi required! Once powered on, the device terminal connects to the strongest cell signal. This allows the device terminals to be moved and used anywhere a cell signal is available and operate completely independently of your existing data network.
Real-time collection tracking
Your fixed-denomination and custom donation device terminals are linked to your tiptap dashboard. It is through your personalized dashboard where you can manage and optimize collections.
Recurring monthly donations
Make it easy for donors to support your organization beyond a one-time gift. With recurring donations, donors can choose to make ongoing monthly contributions, helping create a more consistent and predictable source of funding for your organization. This makes it easier to build lasting donor relationships and grow long-term fundraising.
Tax receipting
From your dashboard, you can generate a QR code designed to collect donor information for tax receipting purposes. You can download the QR code and either print it or display it digitally on a screen. Display it prominently to encourage donors to register for tax receipts. Donors only need to register once, and all historical and future contributions within a calendar year will be automatically included on their tax receipt. Your organization will have access to this information to facilitate accurate and timely receipting.

Updating your signage regularly is a key marketing strategy to stay top-of-mind and relevant.
